You'll notice that we haven't yet addressed the thorny/prickly political issues of your being there, and thus, presumably, of your representing us, presumably politically, to a presumed larger (say, galactic) political authority--much less of our being your prey and of your being (perhaps you think) our natural predator.  We assume that on a galactic level, as on a terrestrial level, Natural Law forbids the consumption of the more intelligent by the less intelligent.  Much has changed in the 40,000 years since your first contact with us--and much is about to change.
