What needs be said is that the young actors who play their various rôles in enacting this, perhaps the bitterest story ever told, are, as actors, and in their physical persons, absolute and sheer perfection, to a degree undreamt of by any previous generation of film actors, with the possible exceptions of Tyrone Power and the thirty-something  Errol Flynn.
