I've just finished binge-watching the Canadian TV series "Intelligence" (2005 -- 2007):

Aptly named and wonderfully entertaining.  With unguessable, convoluted plots, plausible villains (multi-national corporate interests, the American Deep State, the CIA, the DEA--and American criminal gangs which are not distinguishable from the CIA and the DEA) exquisitely dissected, fascinating characters, and a point de vue at once realistic (and therefore, of course, pessimistic) and perfectly sane--even, plainly, pro-drug. Not to mention extraordinarily high production values and magnificent acting. Too fine, I guess, for this mortal sphere: it was cancelled after only two seasons.

And please note:  I pronounce "dissect" with a short "i" sound, as in "dissent" and "dissonance." Never, ever, do I say "die-sect."  I would die before I did that.
