But back to that obscene, immoral, illegal and criminally protracted war in Vietnam that I so cleverly got myself out of--

I was, of course, damned lucky.  But I was also smart enough to realize--when almost nobody else in the world, apparently, had a clue--what an intrinsically evil, profitless and vile business it is ever to participate in a military adventure whose real, true purpose is simply, and no more than, the exercise of the illicit powers (of the abomination) of a standing, peacetime army.  That's all it was.  I hate to tell the millions of Vietnamese whose lives were destroyed in the so-called Vietnam War, but's that's really all it was.  There was no Cold War that anybody who knew anything about it actually believed in--no Communist Threat.  It was all a sham, a farce--play-acting--with real weapons, and, alas, real victims.

People "believe" what they they feel they are obliged to believe:

Reason and the evidence of their senses have appallingly little to do with it.  They have seldom the time or patience to understand that such willful abnegation of their rational faculty makes them less than human.

Of Seismic Significance:

Judge Andrew Napolitano has just been fired from Fox News for saying, truly, that Obama had Trump spied upon by the British intelligence service.  So what?--yet the walls are trembling.

But just to be sure, before I posted yesterday's counter-proclamation of Misogyny (or anti-Feminism),

I Googled and attentively read all the results of "¿What Rights, specifically, don't Women have?"  A difficult and troublesome read because, while such rights were much referenced and often alluded to, they were nowhere clearly stated, much less specified.

That said, God knows I'd hate to be a woman and am glad I'm not one--not even if I were a nice one like my father's sisters.  The sheer physical discomfort of being a woman gives me the creepy-crawlies to contemplate:  Nothing about the physical nature of a woman's existence, from the shoes she wears, to the dreadful, itching bother of applying and wearing makeup every goddamned day of her life, is plain, outright simple, and at the same time comfortable and natural--and those things which are entirely specifically natural for her, like menstruation and childbirth, are, objectively speaking, disgusting and not seldom painful.

International Women's day, so proclaimed by nobody whose proclamations I give a damn about,

in celebration of a sex which, to be honest, I generally deplore and am profoundly bored by.  No thanks.

At last, a whole day unto myself, with neither Case Manager, nor Doctor, nor everdue Library Book , nor anything whatsoever else, bidding me to get it together and go out there and Face the World:

Idleness.  So, while taking my morning handful of pills and bowl of strong coffee, and being oh so conscious of having nothing really at all to do, I watched John Oliver's profound and hilarious interview with the Dalai Lama.  And now I think I'll check the weather report to see if today might not be a good day to go to the beach.

Now then---The next Irish Roman Catholic to have an asthma attack when this question is asked should be shot in the back of the head at close range--¿What, exactly,

was the cause of death of the 796 children and babies exhumed at the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, Galway, Ireland?  Malnutrition? Starvation?  Suffocation?   What exactly?
