My Religion--the Religion I make up for my own Uses--
is probably not so much a variety of Vajrayna or Mahayana Buddhism, as it is a peculiar, self-conscious sort of Jainism (Sin = harming others), with specific, carefully thought-out, elitist Degrees of Sentience, and a profound, "many-sided" veneration of the Rococo. I will always, for example, decline to eat octopus (calamari), on the grounds that my Religion forbids me to eat creatures which are more intelligent than I am, and which are, even, capable of espièglerie and gentle mockery (the essence of the Rococo). To see their suckers sliced into a salad, both horrifies and nauseates me; and being horrified and nauseated is, of course, the most religious sentiment or sensation that one (anyone) can experience. Think you not? Then fuck you. And fuck your Transcendent Bliss, and fuck your (meaningless) Compassion.
